The American Cancer Society invites you to join us for the 30th anniversary of Jacksonville’s premier Western-themed gala, the Cowford Ball, on August 23, 2025, at an exciting new venue, the beautiful Epping Forest Yacht Club. This year’s event promises to be an elevated experience, combining the charm of its rich history with the elegance of a stunning new location.
For three decades, the Cowford Ball has brought together over 350 cowboys and cowgirls for an evening of denim-clad fun and philanthropy. Drawing its name from Jacksonville’s origins as a cattle crossing on the St. Johns River, the “Cow Ford” gala has been a signature event since its inception in 1995 by dedicated ACS volunteer, the late Dot Fischette. Modeled after
the American Cancer Society’s nationwide Cattle Barons’ Ball, Cowford Ball is uniquely tied to Jacksonville, offering an unforgettable night of great food and drink, dancing, an incredible auction, and more.
